Embracing Change: Standing Against Oppression

Frightened by the current state,
Dreadfully carrying an enormous weight.
Trying my best to fight and ignore,
Emotions bleeding like never before.
A fraud fueled by hate, consumed by greed,
Not just afraid, but burning with need.
A volatile spark, desperate to ignite,
A scream in the dark, demanding the fight.
What happened to progression, and a just system?
One that protects with knowledge and wisdom.
Instead, a felon sits on the throne,
America spoke, but without minds of their own.
A dictator is what they wanted, and so it shall be,
Real Americans grasping to the land of the free.
What’s happening now is cruel and unjust,
An empire crumbling, built on broken trust.
His followers see him as their savior,
A figure who thrives on childish behavior.
He cries and whines, no truth in his say,
If he doesn’t win, we all must pay.
Anxious and frightened, but I will not bow,
My armor is built, and I stand tall now.
Anyone who dares stand in the way,
Will face the fury of a brighter day.
We’ve been silent too long, in these darkest days,
But now it’s time to break through the haze.
We’ll rise together, no more delay,
We fight for justice, and we lead the way.
Through it all, I have one last frantic plea,
For us to stand, for us to be free.
The will of the people, it will not break,
When we stand united, we’ll make them shake.
We’ll break their chains, shatter their lies,
The truth will rise, no compromise.
For knowledge and justice, we carry them high,
Nothing can stop us, no matter how they try.
“The fact is, with every friendship you make, and every bond of trust you establish, you are shaping the image of America projected to the rest of the world.”
Michelle Obama
