Tuna Salad Sandwiches

A classic, comforting sandwich made with creamy tuna mixed with mayonnaise, celery, and seasoning, served chilled on soft kaiser rolls with crisp lettuce and tomato—simple, filling, and perfect for travel or a nostalgic homemade meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 1 celery stalk finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp red onion finely chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • lettuce leaves iceberg, romaine or butter lettuce are good options
  • 4 kaiser rolls
Optional Add-Ins
  • pickle relish
  • sliced avocado
  • tomato slices
  • lemon juice

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, celery, and red onion.
  2. Mix until creamy and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Slice and lightly toast the kaiser rolls if desired.
  4. Add lettuce and tomato to each roll.
  5. Spoon the tuna salad generously onto the sandwiches.
  6. Wrap in foil or parchment paper for an easy road trip meal.

Notes

Serve chilled with chips, fruit, pasta salad, or cookies packed alongside.
