Things That Make Me Happy
I thought that I’d have a difficult time coming up with thirty things that make me happy. Generally, I can only think of four off the top of my head. But this exercise was easier than expected. I feel like I could continue going.
It’s funny how the mind works sometimes. Once I started writing, memories began to unfold. And the things I often overlook, suddenly became meaningful. It’s a nice reminder that I can find joy even when I don’t think I have very much of it.
Here are thirty things that make me happy (in no particular order):
- My family (dog included): They’re my biggest support system.
- My friends: I have the best friends in the world!
- The Los Angeles Dodgers (baseball in general): My favorite team.
- Italy: Give me all things Italian.
- Food: It’s more than nourishment to me.
- Travel: I love exploring new places.
- Writing: It’s my therapy.
- Reading: Fantasy novels have been my go-to lately.
- Coloring: It makes me calm.
- Disneyland: They don’t name it the happiest place on earth for nothing.
- Coffee: I have to have it everyday.
- Music: Is life!

- Animals: They all capture my heart.
- Massages: Spa days are necessary every once in a while.
- Scrapbooking: It brings out my creativity.
- Gelato: There’s something extra flavorful about it.
- Swimming: The best form of exercise.
- The beach: The most relaxing place for me.
- History: I’ll go to a museum any day.
- Stars: There’s something magical about them.
