Self-Care

I used to think that self-care just meant luxurious spa days, facials, and long bubble baths.  Growing up, I didn’t realize there was more to it than that.  But now, I know self-care is about the small, meaningful ways we show up for ourselves every day.

Whether it’s journaling, reading, meditating, cooking a cozy meal, or simply resting, it all counts.  These simple acts matter.  They remind us we’re worthy of our own time, attention, and care.

In this section, I share my personal journey with self-care and the practices that have helped me feel more at peace.  I hope it encourages you to slow down, tune in, and take better care of yourself.  One moment at a time.

What I Need Most After an Emotional Spiral

After an emotional spiral, there’s often this silence that follows. The crying has stopped. The panic has eased just enough to catch my breath again. But what’s left behind feels extremely heavy. Transforming Self-Doubt into Self-Love

If someone were to ask me, “What’s one thing you would change about yourself?” I wish that I could confidently say, “Absolutely nothing.”  That I’ve reached a place of self-acceptance—no doubts, no insecurities, no inner battles.  But the truth is that there are still things I would change.  I wouldn’t change the…

Embracing Self-Kindness After Mistakes

Personally, I’ve never been good at showing myself any type of kindness when I make a mistake. My natural instinct isn’t to forgive myself. Instead, I internalize it and let it consume me entirely. It’s always been difficult for me to let go of things I’ve done wrong. Mistakes feel…

Why Letting Go is Essential for Personal Healing

I’ve been on my healing journey for a while now, and I’ve realized that it changes you.  It teaches you to see the world, and yourself, differently.  What once felt comfortable and familiar might not fit anymore.  And sometimes that means outgrowing the people you used to have a strong relationship with.   I’ve…

Transforming Guilt into Rest

Lazy days make me feel both rested and unproductive.  Some days, slowing down and having some quiet time to relax is peaceful and makes me feel like I’m exactly where I should be.  Other times, rest feels…restless.  My mind tells me I should be doing something productive instead of lying around doing nothing.  It’s…
