Losing Myself in Passion and Purpose
Lately, I’ve been losing myself in productive activities. I’ve been working on my blog and building my website. I’m also shaping the foundation of my freelance business. For the first time in years, I feel a renewed sense of motivation, a drive I thought I had lost. I’m dedicated to making this work. I’m focused on growing something meaningful. Hopefully, one day, I’ll take Embracing the Unseen to new heights.
This blog isn’t just a passion project; it’s my way of making a difference in the world. My career focus has shifted toward mental health, a topic that has profoundly shaped my life. I’ve always been drawn to writing and communications, with a background in journalism and PR, but my interests constantly evolve. The idea of staying in one role for years on end has never suited me. I crave growth, new challenges, and purpose-driven work.
I want a career centered around helping others because that’s what makes me genuinely happy. As someone with AuDHD (Autism + ADHD), my interests are my passions. When I fixate on something, I pour my entire being into it. Sometimes I even forget basic needs like eating or taking a break. Disruptions snap me out of my flow, leaving me frustrated and unsettled.
There are a few things I consistently lose myself in:
- Fantasy novels—escaping into different worlds, living through the eyes of complex characters.
- Los Angeles Dodgers baseball—I live for the excitement of the game and the highs and lows of the season.
- Movies and TV shows—finding new stories that captivate my mind and emotions.
- Writing—because words have always been my greatest source of power and expression.
Words inspire creativity, spark thought, and stimulate the mind. I always need that sense of engagement, that feeling of purpose. If something doesn’t excite me, I lose interest fast. I’m pursuing a life filled with the things that fuel my passion. When I lose myself in what I love, that’s when I truly feel alive.

“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”
