Dream Jobs Beyond Money: Explore Your Passion
Honestly, if I had enough money, I wouldn’t work at all. Sure, I’d be involved heavily with my interests and passions, but if I didn’t have to work because of money, I simply wouldn’t. But, I must say that I am happy with the career path I chose in Journalism, but still, college opened my eyes to so many intriguing possibilities. There are definitely quite a few things I’d be more than glad to be involved in. Here are a few of them:
Art Historian:
Iโve always been encapsulated by art, culture, and history. I love learning all about the past because I think itโs important for our future. When I was in high school and college, I took art history. Iโll never forget, one of the first things I studied was Stonehenge. I was fascinated by how the stones were moved, why they were moved, and what it really signifies. I actually took a trip to England and went to see it for myself, and I was the happiest person around. I actually spent too much time there because the bus was waiting on me to leave to go to the next location. For me, there is nothing better than seeing things for yourself, and I was enthralled being around an old, and infamous, wonder of the world.

I grew very fond of renaissance art and European architecture. The miraculous beauty of the Duomo for example, is just breathtaking. I remember while I was in Florence, I took a trip up to this wonderful lookout point, and I was just basking in the city and all of its glory. Iโve learned a lot, but I would like to continue on in my research and exploration. I believe that being an art historian would we the best job to have considering my passion for history itself.

Psychologist:
Iโve always been interested in learning about the brain and how it works. For me, being so heavily involved in mental health now, I realize that I couldโve gladly pursued a career in this field. I remember taking a course in college and it was really an eye-opening experience for me. I just remember reading through the textbook and engaging with the professor, thinking that a lot of the material resonated how I felt on the inside. Things began to click into place, and I was motivated to seek out the help that I needed. Ever since then, Iโve been on a mission of self-discovery and advocacy.

Lead an Animal Rights and welfare organization:
I canโt even begin to express just how much animals mean to me. I have a deeply caring, companionate, and empathetic view on animals and their wellbeing. All I truly want is for them to feel comforted, cared for, well fed, and happy. It might seem unrealistic, but thatโs always been my hope and desire. My love and adoration for all living things truly makes me want to be more of an advocate and work to improve the way that theyโre treated today. I look at it as, we are the voice of the voiceless, and they need us and rely on us for support.

These are careers that I would’ve and still could pursue. your dreams don’t have to have a time limit. If you’re passionate enough about something you can still become involved. I know that right now, I read art history books, I write a blog all about mental health advocacy, and I’ve been considering doing some volunteer work at a local shelter. So, these dreams and passions may not have been my career path, but they mean something to me, and I’ll never stop learning or advocating for what I believe is right.
โYou are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.โ
