Why I Love Living in Los Angeles
Los Angeles has always been my home, and honestly, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. You might think that being neurodivergent and introverted, I’d prefer a quieter, small-town vibe, but I love the energy of this city. Maybe it’s because I grew up here, but I feel lucky every day to have the beach just 20 minutes away, Hollywood entertainment around the corner, and scenic hiking trails nearby. Want snow? Big Bear is just a close drive away. Craving desert vibes? Palm Springs has you covered. And of course, I have my favorite sports team—the Dodgers—right here, representing the city along with the Lakers, Kings, Rams, and more. Sports can really
Los Angeles isn’t all glitz and glamour, as some might think. Sure, we have stunning homes in Beverly Hills, but we also have areas that are still growing and need improvement. That balance is part of what makes it real. LA is my city. It’s where my family is, where my friends and I have made countless memories, and where I feel rooted.
I’ve thought about moving out of state to be closer to friends, and while other places are beautiful, nothing compares to home. Leaving would feel like leaving a piece of myself behind, and I’m not sure how I’d adjust. On top of that, the weather here is unbeatable. Sunny skies, mild winters, and just the right amount of warmth. It’s something you can’t replicate anywhere else.
I’m especially grateful for the part of LA I call home. The quiet side of the San Fernando valley. It gives me the best of both worlds. Peace and calm when I need it, with the excitement of the city never too far away. Los Angeles truly has everything and more you could want in a city. And for me, it will always, always be home.
“Los Angeles isn’t just a city; it’s a collection of moments, memories, and sunlight.”
