My Dog There’s nothing quite like the unconditional love of a dog. They are always there to comfort you, keep you safe, and best of all, showering you love. I greatly enjoy snuggling, playing, walking, and just staring into those soulful puppy dog eyes. It melts me to my core.
Without a doubt, that dogs hold a special place in my heart. They fill the void of emptiness, and they know how to make us smile. No matter how bad I feel, that wagging tail and wet nose are sure to make me feel happier.
Travel Exploring new countries is a truly rewarding experience for me. Being able to try new foods, and soaking in the scenery and beauty of different cultures offers an immense satisfaction.
Traveling not only fuels my soul, it makes me feel elated. It allows me to push my boundaries and leave my comfort zone, which is a rarity. But a gift nonetheless.
Eating Food has always been my comfort. To me, food is love. There’s something magical about sharing a great meal with good company, and good conversation. I learned this mantra from growing up in a large Italian family. Food for us is something to nourish the soul.
I was taught to use all five senses when trying a meal. You’ve got to immerse yourself in the experience. I see it, taste it, smell it, hear it, and feel that love being presented before me. Let’s be real, I’m a die-hard foodie for life.
Being with Friends Laughter, deep conversations, and inside jokes make me feel seen. My friends are truly me lifeline to the outside world. I often don’t like being alone in public, but when I’m with them it’s nothing but good times. They are my people, and the best medicine to my usual state of depression. With them I know that I’m safe, respected, and well-liked. I genuinely cherish the moments I get to be with them more than words can say.
Reading Reading is my escape from the chaotic world. It allows me to get out of touch with reality and dive deep into a story. It keeps my mind stimulated and engaged. It creates a space where I can detach and recharge my batteries. Whether I’m reading an adventurous fantasy novel or a heart-tugging fictional story, books let you slow down. They help you reconnect with yourself.
What are five things that bring you joy and happiness? I’d love to hear it!
